Zoom and focus
One day, as we were busy setting up for a network meeting we were having at work, I noticed that the projector we were using was out of focus and it was making the image on the screen unclear. I took a closer look and found that there were 2 buttons on the top of the projector that said zoom & focus. These 2 buttons had to be aligned just right for the image to be projected clearly onto the screen. If I knocked one of them out of line just a little then the image would become unclear. After a few minutes, a little more focus and a little less zoom I had a perfectly clear image on the screen. Brilliant!
I didn’t think about it much after that, then recently while I was having some photos taken I was watching how the photographer was constantly adjusting her zoom and focus to get each photo just right. Once the image was clear she would then make sure that she aligned herself just right before taking the photo. All those little adjustments with the zoom and focus and aligning herself helped the photos to turn out amazingly clear.
Sometimes in our lives we get knocked a little and suddenly things become unclear. We are so busy with trying to zoom through life that we forget to adjust our focus. We haven’t aligned ourselves right.
We can go through some things in our lives and feel that we can’t see beyond that situation, but that’s because all too often we zoom in on our problems and forget to focus on the bigger picture.
Adjusting our zoom and focus and aligning ourselves with God, helps us to see more clearly. Otherwise our world would look like a blurry mess. [if !supportLineBreakNewLine] [endif]
It says in the Bible ‘Let your eyes look directly forward, and your gaze be straight before you’.
Have you been knocked a little? Does your zoom and focus need adjusting?
Maybe it's time to align yourself so you can see things more clearly.
